-Maximise use of resources**- early detection can prompt first line treatment reducing the need for extensive resources

• Medicine is only profession where there is direct impact to life, beneficence and non-maleficence play a role in this as you are not able to work and treat patients.
• Could work two ways where it could be non-maleficence to the doctor for not striking as their work conditions would worsen over time, also impacting the doctor
