Rejected Take-off Below V1
Engine Failure At Or After V1
At Vr Rotate the airplane with full aft stick until a positive flight path is achieved.
At V2 Maintain V2 by pitch up and down adjustments, limited to +20° pitch attitude (no thrust adjustment).
When a positive flight path is established:
• Landing Gear….. Up
• AT NOT LESS THAN 400 FT AAL….. Level Flight Acceleration
Slats-Flaps may be set to SF 1 as soon as V+10 is attained.
5 MINUTES MAX. AFTER TAKE-OFF THRUST POWER SETTING
• Power Levers….. CL
Go Around - One Engine Inoperative (Approach with SF3)
• TOGA….. PUSH
Rotate the airplane until a positive flight path is achieved.
• Power Levers….. TO
• SLATS/FLAPS….. SF 2
• Landing Gear….. Up
• SLATS/FLAPS….. SF 1
• AT NOT LESS THAN 800 FT AAL….. Level Flight Acceleration
• At VFR….. SLATS/FLAPS - SF 0
• WHEN IN CLEAN CONFIGURATION….. Set and maintain Vfto
• Power Levers….. CL
Direct Laws
• Sidestick….. Neutral Position
Maneuver with caution.
Back-up
Use pitch trim for pitch control and rudder pedals for roll control.
Control Surface Jam
* Maintain current speed or reduce below red tape if more restrictive, and maintain configuration.
Inoperative CCD
• Revert Corresponding CCD to inner position
or
• Use other side CCD
DU Failure
OXY: PAX SUPPLY FAIL
Failure of pax oxygen delivery system
• PAX OXYGEN rotary knob….. O’RIDE
• Passenger masks….. Don - Checked
OXY: PAX SUPPLY FAIL - remains on:
• Apply EMERGENCY DESCENT procedure
Unreliable Airspeed
• Disregard Flight Path Vector in affected PDUs, SFD and HUD
• Disengage AP/AT
• Maneuver with caution
Level the wings
Apply UNRELIABLE AIRSPEED emergency procedure (section EMERGENCY - SPECIFIC EMERGENCY SITUATIONS)
Increase Speed Alert
Overspeed Alert
Rudder Trim Runaway
Pitch Trim Runaway
(FCS: THS DEGRAD, FCS: ALTN LAWS ACTIVE and AFCS: AP FAIL appear)
Unwanted Disconnection of Autothrottle
If the re-engagement cannot be achieved:
• Continue the flight without the autothrottle.
Unwanted Disconnection of Autopilot
* Reengage autopilot in normal flight conditions.
Unusual Attitude Recovery - Nose Down
WHEN NOSE IS CLOSE TO HORIZON:
• AIRBRAKES….. AB0
• Thrust….. Adjust
Unusual Attitude Recovery - Nose Up
WHEN AIRCRAFT NOSE IS CLOSE TO HORIZON:
• Bank….. Wings Level
• Thrust….. Adjust
Stall
SIMULTANEOUSLY and smoothly: • Autopilot and Autothrottle..... Disconnect • Pitch control..... Nose down • Bank..... Wings level • Power levers..... TO • AIRBRAKES..... AB 0
AFTER STALL RECOVERY:
• Pitch Attitude….. Close to Horizon
• Thrust….. Adjust
TCAS Alert
* TCAS RA Guidance….. Follow
Windshear Recovery
At pilot’s discretion, according to airplane height and vertical speed:
• Landing gear handle….. Up
Disregard possible amber Low Speed Cue, “increase speed” aural warning and basic mode EGPWS aural alert during windshear recovery.
Pull Up
Rapid Decompression
Emergency Descent
The following procedure assumes structural integrity of the airplane.
If structural integrity is questioned:
• Limit airspeed to lowest practicable value
• Avoid high maneuvring load factors
