Flashes of light ( photopsia ) in the peripheral field of vision
Floaters on the temporal side of the central vision
Posterior vitreous detachment
Dense shadow that starts peripherally progresses towards the central vision
Veil or curtain over the field of vision
Straight lines appear curved
Central vision loss
Retinal detachment
Large bleeds cause sudden visual loss
Moderate bleeds described as numerous dark spots
Small bleeds may cause floaters
Vitreous haemorrhage
Patient with multiple sclerosis ( MS ) and diabetes
Unilateral decrease in visual acuity over hours or days
Pain worse on movement
Relative afferent pupillary defect
Central scotoma
Optic neuritis
