Development of Osteomyelitis
Clinical Manifestations: Acute osteomyelitis
Local manifestations
- pain unrelieved by rest; worsens w/activity
- swelling, tenderness, warmth
- restricted movement
Systemic manifestations
- fever, night sweats
- chills, restlessness
- nausea, malaise, drainage (late) [from cutaneous sinus tract and/or fx site)
