What happened at the 1984 olympic games

A

In response to the boycott of the 1980 Moscow games, the soviet union boyccoted the games, and referred to the soviet union as anti communist. They didn’t like the commercialisation.

Peter Uberoth identified places where money could be made at the games after the disaster of Montreal. Private funding and commercialisation. It was known as the McDonald’s games.
It made a profit of 250 million.
