* in females = upper end of Vagina (below the root of broad ligament)
Lateral relation of pelvic ureter
from up downwards:
1. EIA (external Iliac A)
2. EIV
3. Obturator N
4. Obturator A
5. Obturator V
In males, plevic ureter is crossed by:
Vas deferens
In males, plevic ureter crosses:
upper end of seminal vesicle
In females, plevic ureter is crossed by:
Uterine Artery
Arterial supply of pelvic ureter
🚹: Inferior Vesical A
🚺: Vaginal A or Uterine A
parasympathetic Nerve supply of Pelvic ureter
2nd to 4th sacral spinal segments (S2 to S4)
sympathetic Nerve supply of Pelvic ureter
Lower thoracic & first lumbar segments (T12 & L1)
ureteric Colic pain is reffered in
Areas supplied cutnaeously by same spinal segments as Ureter:
* commences in Loin
* shoots down to groin, Scrotum/ labia majora
* may extend of upper front of thigh (supplied by genitofemoral N)
