What are the symptoms of pericarditis?

Answer 1

Severe chest pain
Shortness of breath
Pain on inspiration, cannot sit or lay back.
Worse with coughing and swallowing.
ECG PR depression and wide spread ST elevation.
Hx of cold/flu symptoms.
Pericardial rub on full inspiration/expiration.
Relief when sitting forward.

What is the treatment for pericarditis?

Answer 2

O2 if indicated.
Pain relief if required.
Positioning.
