What’s the difference between CD-R(Compact Disc Recordable) and CD-RW(Compact Disc Rewritable)?
CD-R discs can only be written to once, while CD-RW discs can be erased and rewritten multiple times. CD-R discs use a permanent dye, making the data write permanent, whereas CD-RW discs use a special phase-change metal alloy that can be reversibly altered by the laser in a compatible drive.
