Q

Why might one go to walsingham on pilgrimage?

A

Walsingham is believed to be the place where the Virgin Mary appeared in 1061 and asked for a shrine to be built.

It is known as “England’s Nazareth,” which helps pilgrims feel closer to the life of Jesus.

Pilgrims pray at the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham and visit the Holy Well, which is associated with healing.
