not all of the funding was made available and only 213,000 homes were built
Restriction of Ribbon Development Act, 1935
Aimed to restrict the development of land alongside roads. It was passed in response to the increasing number of residential ribbon development. The act required developers to obtain permission from the Minister of Transport for any new development within 220 yards of a classified road
