  • Clear heat from the entire channel
  • Restore consciousness
  • Treat uppermost/distal channel disorders
  • Treat fullness below the heart (e.g., reflux, anxiety)
  • Treat diseases of the zang (yin) organs
  • Treat disorders of the spirit
  • Additional: clearing heat, rescuing collapse

Ying-Spring Points

A
  • Clear heat
  • Treat diseases of Yang channels (esp. upper body)
  • Change in color/complexion
  • Treat febrile diseases
  • Yin channel = fire → clears fire/heat/Xu heat
  • Yang channel = water → dispels cold/damp
  • Feet points stronger than hands
  • Combine with Shu-Stream to treat zang disorders

A
  • Treat heaviness of body and joints
  • Yin channels: overlap with Source points, treat zang disorders
  • Yang channels: treat channel disorders along their pathway
  • Treat intermittent diseases (malaria, herpes, autoimmune, Lyme)
  • Qi becomes stronger
  • Wei Qi gathers here (defensive energy)
  • Also called Transport Points — exterior pathogens can move inward
