• Was an observation in a public place so consent was not required as the P’s were in a place they would expect to be observed by others.
• Wasn’t necessary to debrief P’s as their behavior was not affected
• To ensure confidentiality no names were collected

• We observed from a bench on the side of the road where we could observe the sex of each driver and their car as they drove past us.
• The procedure was carried out on a Wednesday lunchtime and we observed as many people who drove past us in 10 minutes
• we ensured we were not in huge groups so that we could stay discreet and not be noticed to be carrying out an observation
