Can your car stay in a box junction under any circumstances?
Most of the time, No. I have to make sure there is space for me to stop beyond the box junction. So if the car beyond me is in traffic and is just in front of the box junction, I cannot go ahead until the traffic moves so that there is space as otherwise I will be stuck inside the box junction. Waiting is only allowed for when you wish to turn right but are prevented from doing so by oncoming traffic (See Fig. 15)
