Taken to a room with toys including potato printing and stickers. Adult at table with bobo doll, mallet, tinker
Adult played with tinker toys for 1minute then attacked bobo doll, saying thinks like ‘sock him in the nose’
Non aggressive model stage 1
Child taken to room with potato printing and stickers
Adult sat on other table with tinker toys, bobo doll and mallet. Adult ignored bobo doll
No model stage 1
No exposure to adult models
How long was stage 2
2 minutes
What happened in stage 2 (mild aggression arousal)
Children taken into room with attractive colourful toys like spinning top, fire engine, doll set.
At first told they could play, 2 minutes in told they were best toys and being kept for other children.
Point of stage 2
Arouse any aggressive behaviour learned in stage 1
How long was stage 3
20 minutes
What happened in stage 3
All children taken to main room, observed by male model through one way mirror, record every 5s
Behaviours recorded: imitative behaviour of physical or verbal aggression, partial imitation of aggression, new aggressive behaviour
Inter rater reliability stage 3
Half of the children also had behaviour scored independently by a second observer
