To record best of 3, 2 or 3 times a day
Pressurized Metered Dose Inhaler (pMDI)
Sit Straight or stand
Lift chain to open airway
REmove cap & Shake inhaler
Breath out gently
Place teeth around mouthpiece
Start breathing in and press the inhaler once as you do
Hold breath for 10 seconds or until faillure
then wait 3-60 secs if needing a 2nd dose
Large Volume Spacer
Remove Cap & Shake Inhaler Insert into spacer Put mouthpiece in mouth Breath to check valve (click) Press the inhaler Take a slow deep breath Hold for 10 seconds or until failure Then you can remove the space from your mouth and wait 30-60 secs if needing a 2nd dose
If one deep breath isnt possible can do normal breathing for ~5 breaths
Spacer Cleaning
Clean monthly in warm soapy water
Don’t rinse or towel dry
Wipe the mouthpiece free of detergent before use
Replace every 12 months

Check the dose counter Open with the thumb grip Hold horizontally and slide lever till it clicks (this loads the dose and moves on the counter) Breath out gently away from the inhaler Place in mouth and seal lips Breath in steadily and deeply Hold breath for 10 seconds or until failure Breath out gently away from inhaler
Can repeat if needed
