• NPO 6 hours before procedure
• Remove dentures
• sit or lay on side
• Normal: have a sore throat after procedure

• Need informed consent
• sitting w/ arms over pillow or desk
• localized anesthetic

• NPO
• Lay them on right side
• Expect pain rt. Shoulder
• Abdominal pain (report immediately)
