Q

What is agility?

A
  • the ability to think and draw conclusion quickly
  • applied in a business context, agile describes the dynamic and flexible management and control of projects and processes
  • reducing the complexities involved in the planning and management of a project leads to increased development speed, greater, adaptability, and personal responsbility

Q

Compare agile and traditional

A

Agile: customer collaboration; flexibility; functional solutions; maximum sales value in minimum time
Traditional: negotiation; rigid planning; full documentation; delayed market value due to longer launch cycles

Q

What are the agile manifestos- 4 values?

A

(1) people and interactions are more important than processes and tools
(2) functional software is more important than complete documentation
(3) collaboration with customers is more important than contract negotiations
(4) it is more important to react to change than to follow a plan

Q

What are the 12 principles of the manifesto?

A

(1) client satisfaction by continuous and quick delivery of software with added value
(2) adapt to evolving needs and requirements, even in the late stages of development
(3) regularly deliver functional software (every few weeks)
(4) functioning software is the primary measure of progress
(5) steady sustainable development
(6) tight, daily collaboration between clients and the business and developers
(7) in-person conversation is the most effective form of communication
(8) projects are centered around motivated people, and trust should be placed in them
(9) constant focus on technical excellence and good design
(10) simplicity- the art of maximizing undone work- is crucial
(11) Self organized teams
(12) teams that constantly adjust to changing conditions

Q

What is the in the waterfall settings?

A
  • the project’s objective or scope is set while the timeline and costs are variable
  • requirements are clarified piror to the project’s start
  • the process is well-defined and linear. development phases are sequential
  • outcomes are only presented and assessed at the project’s end
  • as the project advances, stakeholder influence diminishes
  • the process allows for comprehensive documentation

Q

What is in the agile setting?

A
  • the project’s timeline and cost are fixed, while the objective scope is flexible
  • the process is continually enhanced. All process phases are iteratively repeated
  • a preliminary result is presented after each iteration, enabling requirement adjustements
  • stakeholder influence is ongoing thorughout the process
  • the team self-organizes, and communication happens in dailty meetings

Q

What is the agile methods for project management?

A
  • Is particularly effective for most development, change, and innovation projects. In such projects, uncertainties and spontaneous changes occur every day. Agile method were developed to respond flexibly to unpredictable development in the project
  • the expectations and requirements of stakeholders and clients can quickly change or expand
  • the scope of tasks can change spontaneously
  • during the project, new ideas and questions may arise

Q

What is the scrum team?

A
  • product owner: responsible for ensuring overall success, representing the interests of users and stakeholders
  • client: pays for product development so that the product can be used later
  • scrum master: moderator of the project team, ensures that the rules are followed
  • development team: self-organized group, responsible for development activities
  • stakeholder: ensure that the user perspective is integrated into the product

  • Value: business model; revenue stream; cost structure; channels
  • Functionality: user stories and sketches; product backlog or product canvas
  • Collaboration: incubator or shared workspace; joint backlog management; joint meetings

Q

What is a scrum master’s responsabilities?

A
  • promote: team autonomy; transparency and openness; flexibility; face-to-face communication
  • support: monitoring and tracking (burndown charts or status boards), management reports, performance feedback; process improvement; maintenance of the scrum tool
  • recognize: team motivation
  • help: scrum principles and meeting; release planning; team-building activities; definition of done- a list of criteria to check to determine if user stories or tickets are truly completed
  • Learn and communicate: self-directed learning; agile trainer, consultant for the team; experience exchange; feedback; team tracking metrics
  • Protect; mediation and conflict resolution; help the team remove impediments; protect th eteam from external obstacle

16
Q

What is product backlog?

A

list of requirements for the new product; can be modified and adapted at any time; requirements are prioritized and divided into work packages

17
Q

What is sprint?

A

Current iteration; implementation of work package; fixed duration; provides a functional intermediate result

18
Q

What is a sprint review?

A

The team presents the intermediate result to the product owner and stakeholders; the feedback is integrated into the next sprint

19
Q

What is reunion scrum quotidienn?

A

Daily 15-minute meeting; information meeting; everyone is always aware of what each team member is currently working on

20
Q

What backlog du sprint?

A

Break down the work block into smaller packages; assign them to team members; document the remaining work for each package

21
Q

what is increment?

A

work package that is not modified during the sprint; functional intermediate result

22
Q

What are the backlog types?

A

(1) product backlog: list of all preferred product features. each user story is assigned story points. Items can be added by anyone at any time, and they are allowed to mature or change as more is learned about the product and the customers
(2) backlog release: subset of the product backlog. The release backlog may involve one or more sprints depending on the release date. includes all product backlog items required for a release
(3) sprint backlog: the sprint backlog contains a list of tasks for the sprint. The sprint tasks are broken down from user stories, and the team estimates these tasks in days or hours. The spirnt backlog is created by the scrum team and updated at least daily

22
Q

What is a scrum event?

A

The prescribed events create regularity and minimize the need for meetings not defined by Scrum. All events are time-boxed with a maximum duration; once a spring begins, its duration is fixed and cannot be shortened or extended; and an appropriate amount of time is spent without allowing in the process

23
Q

What is scrum sprint?

A

this is the central piece of the scrum process. The time box of maximum 4 weeks or less. During this period, a done usable and potentially releasable product increment is created. All sprints have the same duration, and a new sprint starts immediately after the previous one ends

24
What is a scrum- spring cancelation?
A sprint can be canceled before the end of the sprint duration. The company changes direction, or market, or technology conditions change. The sprint goal has become obsolete. All Done product backlog items are reviewed. If a part of the work is potentially releasable, the product owner accepts it. All incomeplete items from the sprint backlog are re-estimated and put back ino the product backlog
25
What is the user stories?
Title which is as (role) I want (objective) so that (motivation) then description (give context to the user story) and acceptance criteria (conditions to validate the implementation of the user story)
