Q

If the question says to prove something about squares of natural number related to multiples of 3 or 4 etc how should you write the numbers?

A

➡️ Look at what the question is about:
if it’s about multiples of 3 → write: n = 3k, 3k+1, 3k+2;

if it’s about multiples of 4 → write: n = 4k, 4k+1, 4k+2, 4k+3;

if it’s about odd/even → write: n = 2k, 2k+1;

then square each one and simplify to see what pattern comes out.
