Questions you asked yourself when you started to write session plan.
The questions that come to my mind when I started to write the session plan are the Training Characteristics such as Langauge, Literacy, Numeracy, Cultural, Background Education, General knowledge, Gender, Age, and Physical Ability of the trainees. Also, the needs or the training gaps of the trainees through comparing the current competencies.
Where did you get the answer for your questions?
During the orientation, I asked the trainees to fill out the pre-assessment tools as well as data gathering tools.
Describe the components of the session plan.
The components of the session plan are Sector, Title of Qualification, Unit of Competency, Module title, Nominal duration, Learning outcomes, Introduction, Learning Activities including the Learning Content, Methodologies, Presentation, Practice, Feedback, Resources and Time. Also we have the Assessment Plan and the Teacher’s Reflection.
What factors did you consider in selecting training methods?
The factors that I consider in selecting training methods are Learning Outcomes/Objectives, the Trainer, Content, Participants, Training Techniques, Time, Cost, Space and Equipment and Materials.
How did you organize learning events?
Gain attention, inform learners of objectives, stimulate recall of prior knowledge, present the materials, provide guidance for learning, elicit performance, provide feedback, assess performance and enhance retention and transfer.
What assessment method did you choose for that particular session plan? Explain?
The assessment method that I chose are Wriiten Test and Demonstration. Written Test will test the knowledge of the learners and the Demonstration is to test the skills of the learners.
How did you consider validity and cost effectiveness of the assessment tool?
We can consider the validity and cost effectiveness of the assessment tool if the questions are valid, the directions are clear, the vocabulary and sentences are understandable and lastly if the assessment tool is not expensive.
What is the importance of TOS?
The importance of the TOS is for us to know how many items do we need to prepare to maximize the Training Content and what are the objectives need to be measures.
Describe at least two adult learning principles.
Practical - adults learn quickly and remember what they learn when they can turn arround and apply the knowledge in their role.
Use of their experience to facilitate learning - adults learner rely heavily on their experiences when they engage in learning.
