The plan:
- busy all month harvesting pumpkins from their patch
- once selected, decorated, and set alight, they will make the finest Jaco-o-Lanterns EVER!
BUT!
In all the excitement to meet new Halloween makers, they forgot to bring some of their prize pumpkins with them. DISARSTER!!
JEOPRADY
- things starting to go bump in the night
- Pete gets scared and loses his cool
- Pat tries to calm him
- Pat enlists the help of the children to make their way to the Pumpkin patch
Pat: To scare off creepy ghouls or ghosts, we carve scary or silly faces on our pumpkins. .. and then we make them glow.
Pete: Like a Christmas tree?
Pat: No. Like a Jack-o-Lantern!
Pete: But there are a whole lot of spooky things between here and that patch… and we have no pumpkins!!
Pat: What if we make a special Halloween potion that’ll turn our faces into hideous, scarily brilliant Jack-o-lanterns!
Potion a-la-Jack (4)
- Shape: Circle
- Using a big cauldron, mix various gooey and ghoulish ingredients to create the perfect concoction.
- Warm up faces in preparation for the big change (blow up as big as a pumpkin, shrink and shrivel like a raisin)
- Stir the cauldron

- Shape: circling the cauldron
- “Spiders legs and sticky goo.. rat a tat tat and hullaballoo”
- Taste then drink, then transform! The potion’s worked! Now you are braver than before, but this potion won’t last long!”
- Pate, Pete and the gang have to make it to craft table before time runs out…
