→ schematic display of PJ work packages and logical relationships and interdependencies among them.
→shows communcation flows and helpt with the scheduling of organizational resources, cause it shows time when personnel has to be free

-identifies critical activities + seperate them from non critical ones + when they have to start/stop to keep the PJ on time
