how do you approach unseen texts?

A
  • read through piece carefully for understanding
    *go back through and annotate anything relating to them
    *analyse writers use of language.
    1- look for the narrative:who? what is the POV? what is the tense?
    2-setting: when and where? How does it contribute?
    3-Characterisation: how does author present?
    4-Techniques:imagery? language features? literary features? influence?
    5-Tone:what is the tone?how is the authorative voice created?
