Q

What is inverse planning?

A

o Inverse planned requires planner to manipulate dose objectives on tumour and other structures to achieve an acceptable plan
 IMRT
 No uniform intensity across beam allowing concave distributions, steep dose gradients
 Uses 1000s of beams
 Uses dose volume histogram
 Can get dose dumping
