Explain the process of conducting the rescue of an incapacitated operator?
- Rig up two new ropes, your working line and safety line.
- Descend to the casualty
- Attach one of your small lanyards between YOUR ID-device and the casualties’ chest ring.
- Attach your second lanyard between YOUR secondary and the casualties’ COG attachment.
- Use the casualties’ ID to transfer the weight from their ID on to your ID.
- You can now remove the casualties’ ID-device and ASAP (this will allow you to control the descent without being caught up)
- If the casualties’ ASAP is locked, you can cut away their rope to allow you to recover them.
- Descend to safety and carry out First aid IAW your rescue plan.
