what kV is a normal diagnostic tube
40-150kv (dependent on region)
What MV is a linac
6
what kV is a CT scanner
140-150kV
why is the target angled in diagnostic x-ray tubes but transmission in the linac?
At low energies (100kV) the direction of X-rays is omnidirectional meaning that some X-rays are attenuated back into the anode assembly. Therefore the target is angled so that all the X-rays go in the desired direction. Whereas at 6mV in a LINAC, the electrons are very directional so they go straight through the target to produce x-rays.
