Range resolution is the ability of a radar to resolve between
two or more targets close together in range.

Explain the relationship between PRF and Maximum Theoretical
Range.

• Inversely proportionate
• Maximum Theoretical Range is determined by the PRF.
• Maximum Theoretical range is determined by how long
  the receiver can ‘listen’ for the echo before the next pulse is transmitted.
• The lower the PRF, the greater listening time available
  between pulses.
• The higher the PRF, the less listening time available
  between pulses.
