Causes of the renaissance [1]
[1] new ideas from traders brought back more goods from the east. People from china, India etc brought new ideas to change the country. Eg. Math from the Arabs introduced the Arabic number system and we still use it today
Cause of the renaissance [2]
[2] the ruins of the Roman Empire , Italy was the centre of the Roman Empire. Left over roman buildings and art were everywhere. Italian language was based on Latin, made it easier for the people in later times to see and change as they wanted to follow in their ancestors footsteps.
Cause of the renaissance [3]
[3] the fall of Constantinople in 1453, Constantinople was the capital of the eastern Roman Empire and was captured in 1453 by the ottoman Turks. Many Greek scholars fled to Italy and brought pieces of ancient Greek + roman manuscripts. These were full of ideas from the ancient world the Italians had never seen
