A

Signal 55 is used when responders, Triple Zero Victoria, or any agency believe that an incident may involve a hostile act, significant violence, or terrorism.

A hostile act is an attack or other use of force by a civilian/terrorist/individual or group against first responders. This includes the targeting of first responders or first responders being secondary targets of a wider event

A

When multiple appliances are responding to an escalated event of a second alarm or greater, an abridged turnout message is used:

  • This message will include the vehicle/station identification, the level of alarm, and the suburb or premises name
