irritation and acute or chronic inflammation of nasal mucosa, leading to difficulty breathing (coryza)

rhinorrhoea, sneezing, itching, nasal congestion and obstruction (due to dilated blood vessels)

glucocortisteroids, anti-histamines, anti-cholinergic drugs, sodium cromoglicate, cysteine leukotriene receptor antagonists , vasoconstriction
