A computer worm is a type of malware that can replicate itself without human interaction, it consumes lots of memory space by replicating, this causes the infected computer to slow its processing speed and randomly stop tasks, it can spread to other computers by replicating.

The function of spyware is to spy on a user’s activity and other things on his computer and send back the information it gathers to a hacker, spyware has no infection mechanisms, it is usually dropped by other malware types and then sits silently to avoid detection.
