Mx of scabies general

Answer 1

Wash all bedding, towels and clothes at 60 degrees for all household and contacts past 4/7 or put it in bag for 72 hours sealed

Question 2

Rx of scabies

Answer 2

Permethrin 5% - apply chin down, wash off after 8-12 hours then repeat 1 week later
Malathion 0.5% - same but leave on for 24hours

Question 3

For crusted scabies Rx with?

Answer 3

Permethrin once daily for 7/7 then twice weekly until cured
Also
Ivermectin 200mcg/kg on d1,2,8,9,15
Isolated and barrier nurse
