Why do we have a Nicene Creed in Mass
A
It was created at the First Ecumenical Council in Nicaea (325) as a result of Arianism, confusion around who Christ was. It’s included because of the call in 1 Peter 3:15 to always be prepared to give an answer for the hope that is in you.

It signifies Christs presence in the tabernacle. Modern day burning bush. Consecrated Eucharist in the church.

Why is a church roof shaped that way?
A
Nave (Latin: Navis, meaning ship) where the congregation gather looks like an inverted hull of a ship. Church = ark carrying us through flood of life to heaven.
