What is a High Visibility patrol
Focus on making the security guard visible in the public eye by physically being seen.
Low visibility Patrols
These are used to cover large areas where there may be only one available staff member or in higher danger/risk areas
What is a fixed post?
A post where both vehicles and/or people are checked before entry to a premises. May also include guarding a vulnerable point, control access, surveillance
What is a patrol post?
Security guard is assigned an area to patrol at set times/intervals and then required to return to a designated post.

What is a roaming patrol?
Flexible, either on foot, bicycle or in a vehicle, no set time for specific patrols, they are sporadic and random in timing.
Purpose of patrols?
To pick up any note and issues, things that stand out etc, not just criminal activity or unruly people.
