The Theft of Idunn and Her Apples

A

Odin, Loki, and Hoenir try cooking an ox, but it stays raw no matter what they do.
Thjazi says the meat will only cook if them give him some, but he takes the only good parts.
Loki hits him with a stick, which causes Thjazi to drag him back home when they both stick.
Loki agrees to kidnap Idunn in exchange for his freedom, and Thjazi takes her.
Loki goes to find Idunn after the other Aesir threatened him with death.

A

Loki returned Idunn while disguised as a nut.
The Aesir set fire to wood shavings, and Thjazi’s wings set on fire.
The Aesir proceeded to kill him.

A

Aesir and Vanir hold a peace meeting.
Kvasir is made from spittle.
Kvasir is killed by Fjalar and Galar.
Gilling, a giant, was drowned by the dwarves. His wife was killed by a rock to the head.
Sutting left the dwarves on rocks while taking the mead.

Odin Seeks the Mead

A

Odin fives nine slaves and sharpens their scythes.
Odin made whetstone, and the slaves slit each other’s throats while trying to get it.
Odin became Bolverk and offers to work for Baugi.
Bolverk does the work of nine men for Baugi, but he tries to betray Bolverk.
Bolverk cuts through the full mountain, sleeps with Gunnlod, and got three drinks of the mead.

The Giant Hrungnir

A

Odin ran into Hrungnir.
Hrungnir thought his horse was better than Odin’s and ends up chasing after him.
Hrungnir gets through the Asgard gates, but he gets drunk.

Thor Duels With Hrungnir

A

The Aesir are sick of Hrungnir.
Thor wanted to deal Hrungnir, but Hrungnir had to get his whetstone.
Hrungnir’s whetstone breaks in two. One goes in the ground and the other goes into Thor’s head.
Hrungnir’s skull is broken by Thor’s hammer.
