the lighting in the piece created an intimate space on stage depicting the feeling of a room
where there any props used?
- coats handed to the children… size of the coats are very large suggesting they are hang-me downs from the parents linking into poverty and the family relationship
- they hold suitcases and put on shoes and hats
what are the costumes like?
- 1930s-1940s inspired looks
- simple shirts, skirts, trousers and dresses
- colours are muted down and word down symbolising deprivation and poverty

- Avro Parts ‘Fratres’ violin and piano versions
- music is in minor key- integral to the solemn and dark atmosphere of the piece
