What is leaching?
A
Leaching occurs when there is a lot of rain. The water soaks through the soil washing all of the important minerals to the bottom

A
Leaching deprives plants of important nutrients when is washes them from their roots

A
A hard pan is when iron oxide minerals are washed from the topsoil causing them to group at the bottom
