Individualize Education Program. It lays out the special education instruction, supports, and services a student needs to thrive in school. The elements include

504 Plan
Is a result of the rehabilitation act of 1973. It prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability within federally assissted or funded programs. It provides support to students within the classroom, through the majority use of accommodations.
Supplementary Aids
are aids, services, and other supports provided in general education classes or other education-related settings to enable children with disabilties to be educated with nondisabled children to the maximum extenet appropriate
Universal Design
Instructional, environmental, and architectural design for spaces and education that makes programs and spaces accessible for all people.
Related Services
These are extra-educational resources that students need in order to benefit from special education. They are assitive. Some examples include audiology, counseling services, and occupational therapy
Response to Intervention
This is a replacement for the IQ tests. It identifies students with disabilities in a proactive way. It measure progress. It allows for increasing measures of extra support.
