Speed
The distance an object travels per unit of time
Formula for speed-
Speed= distance/time
S=d/t
Constant Speed-
travels at a constant speed
Car neither speeds up nor slows down
Example: cruise control
Changing Speed-
speeds are changing rates
More usual than constant speed
Slow & fast
Example: city driving
Average Speed-
describes the speed of motion when speed is changing
Total distance traveled divided by the total time traveled
Instantaneous Speed-
the speed of an object at a given point in time
Example: glancing at the speedometer
Changing Instantaneous Speed-
speed is different at every point of time
Speed up/slowing down
You have changing instantaneous speed
