what check is required before commencing the stall?

A

HASELL check
Height sufficient to recover above 3000agl
Airframe configured - clean or flaps
Security - no loose items
Engine T’s and P’s in the green
Location clear of traffic
Lookout two 90 degree turns or one 180 degree turn if performing manuever behind current heading.

what are the indications of an incipient stall? (stall symptoms)

A

unusaully high nose attitude

cabin noise start to reduce

reduced control effectiveness sloppy controls

audible stall warning

Airframe ‘buffetting’ vibrating through the control column from turbulant air hitting the tail.

low and decreasing air speed.

**in no particular order and will not all ways have all symptoms

What are the symtoms of a fully developed stall?

A

Nose drop
wing drop
high rate of descent
aircraft become unstable

what is the standard stall recovery?

A

Simultaineosly release back pressure to allow the nose to drop as nose drops apply full power right rudder and then re establish cruising attitude

what is the stall recovery in approach confiquration ?

A

as approaching the stall carby heat off
then once in stall releive a bit of back pressure
then full power right rudder
hold 4 finger attitude
speed check above 65 retract a stage of flap
get into vy climb
once positve rate of climb established
retract remaining flap
