Colorectal cancer screening for patients with a family history of adenomatous polyps or colorectal cancer (first degree relative < 60)
Colonoscopies start at age 40 or 10 years before the age of diagnosis in the relative; repeat every 3-5 years
Colorectal cancer screening for patients with inflammatory bowel disease
Screen 8 years post diagnosis (or 12-15 years if disease only in left colon); repeat with biopsies every 1-2 years
Colorectal cancer screening for patients with familial adenomatous polyposis
Screen at age 10-12; repeat yearly
Colorectal cancer screening for patients with Lynch syndrome
