For comparing related groups.
Example - seeing if a workout program improves a persons strength - the strength of the same person is being measured twice.
What is an unpaired t-test for?
Comparing independent groups.
Example - comparing average test scores of two different classrooms.
What is the basic formula used in a t-test?
t = difference in means divided by the SE of the difference.
