Name 3 different types of Fouls.
Personal Foul, Technical Foul, Flagrant Foul
They happen when a player breaks the rules. The ball will then go to the opposite team
Violations
Walking without dribbling
Traveling
Dribbling with 2 hands at the same time or picking up your dribble and dribbling na second time
Double Dribbling
If you are on offense you can only stay in the key for 3 seconds at a time
Three Seconds
Once the ball enters the front court you cannot throw it into the back court.
Over and Back
A player cannot put the palm of their hand under the basket and hold it up
Carry or palming
During a foul shot no one can enter the lane until the shooter releases the ball.
Lane Violation
No one may intentionally kick the ball
Kicking
If you step out of bounds or throw the ball out of bounds it will go to the other team
Out of Bounds
Is an infraction of the rules more serious than a violation. Most occur as a result of illegal personal contact with an opponent and/or unsportsmanlike behavior. Can result in one or more of the following penalties:
Fouls
Is the most common type of foul. It results from personal contact between two opposing players. Basketball features constant motion and contact between opposing players is unavoidable
Personal Foul
Is a foul unrelated to physical contact during gameplay. The foul may be called on a player in the game, another player, a coach, or against the whole team
Technical Foul
Is violent player contact that the official believes is not a legitimate attempt to directly play the ball within the rules.
