Q

How is it formed?

A

Blood enters the capillaries from arterioles, small diameter results in high hydrostatic pressure so all compounds within are forced out.

This is also known as ultrafiltration

Q

How is tissue absorbed again?

A

Large molecules remain in the capillaries and create a lower water potential gradient.

Towards the venule end of capillaries, hydrostatic pressure is lowered due to loss of liquid but gradient remains low.

Water remains by osmosis
