Any actiont that causes an object to change its rotarty motion. AKA as ‘moment of force’ and can be describe as a twist. Torque is measures how hard something is to rotated about an axis.

Generting a large force or increasing the point of application of the force from the axis, can increase the torque.

Paralympics, a wheelchair sprinters gets the chair in motion buy appling trque to the wheels with the hands causing the wheel to spin around the axis.

• The size of the torqu depends on the distance from the axis of rotation, therefore the wheel chair competiton has large wheel and will find it easier to move the chair (less force required) then if the wheel was smaller.
