Mood Boards
They generate a ‘look’, ‘feel’ or ‘mood’ for a product or theme to help produce ideas for the product They can be physical or electronic.
They contain:
- Text, (BOTH)
- annotations, (BOTH)
- images, (BOTH)
- drawings, (PHY)
- colours, (BOTH)
- fonts, (BOTH)
- sounds, (ELE)
- videos, (ELE)
- textures and fabrics/materials (PHY)
Visualisation Diagram
They show what a static image product will look like, what it will include and the design and layout of items. They can be used by the graphic designer and client within all stages of the project. Annotations should be added as well as clear and detailed so someone else can create the digital product.

Asset Log
Helps to keep a record the information of assets to be used in a product.
They should include:
- File name/location,
- properties (file size, format, dimensions, resolution etc.),
- the source,
- legal issues,
- how you will be using it.
Static Image
a still picture with no moving parts, unlike animated graphics or video
