blistering/discoloration of distal limb
problem: milking on limb due to donning liner incorrectly
solution: don liner w/o air @ distal end
upper extremity terminal device opening with elbow flexion
problem: EFA too proximal
solution: move EFA distal
upper extremity terminal device will not open all the way
problem: housing is impacted; crosspoint @ incorrect location; CAS too loose
solution: check housing; move crosspoint distal to C7 and slightly to sound side; tighten CAS
TF pain and redness on lateral distal femur
problem: socket in too much adduction; lack of ML stability in socket
solution: ensure ischial containment; pad just proximal to distal lateral femur; abduct socket
symes pain on medial/lateral malleolus
problem: too much pressure; not in socket reliefs
solution: make sure malleoli are reaching reliefs
TT pain and redness on distal end, distal patella, and fibula head
problem: socket volume too big, patient sinking into socket
solution: add a sock; pad socket
TT anterior proximal redness
problem: socket too extended
solution: flex socket
TT anterior distal pressure
problem: socket too flexed
solution: extend socket or add pretibial pads
TT lateral distal pressure
problem: too much adduction
solution: abduct socket
symes pediatric redness on malleoli after growth
problem: not seated in reliefs correctly
solution: onion layer socket to allow for growth
redness @ distal patella, loose fit
problem: socket too large
solution: add socks and reeducate
delivered with 3 sock ply, currently wearing 10 sock ply with redness and pain
problem: too many socks
solution: remove socks, educate on sock ply
fibula longer than tibia
solution: provide relief for fibula in socket
Verrucous hyperplasia on distal end
problem: lack of total contact
solution: add distal end pad or remake socket to provide total contact
patient no longer fitting in socket but it fit yesterday
problem: swelling
solution: educate on how limb volume changes; wear a shrinker
