A person shall be guilty of an offence if,
without having the consent of the owner or other lawful authority,
he takes any conveyance for his own or another’s use or,
knowing that any conveyance has been taken without such authority,
drives it or allows himself to be carried in or on it.

A person is guilty of aggravated vehicle taking if he commits the offence of TWOC in relation to a MPV and:

• drives it dangerously,
• RTC causing injury,
• RTC causing damage, or
• causes damage to the vehicle.

- believes that he has the consent of the owner or had other lawful authority.

• The aggravating circumstances occurred before he committed the basic offence, or
• that he was not in or on the vehicle, or in its immediate vicinity, when the aggravating circumstances occurred.
