First method for diffusion experiments with the agar cube
A
Collect Petri dishes containing agar with pre-cut holes in the surface.
Place 2–3 drops of solution A into the pre-cut hole in the first plate, being careful not to spill the dye or let it overflow onto the surface of the agar.
Place 2–3 drops of solution B into the pre-cut hole in the second plate, being careful not to spill the dye or let it overflow onto the surface of the agar.
Start the stopwatch.
After a fixed time measure the distance (in mm) each dye has travelled in the agar.
