is a small computer designed to perform a SPECIFIC task, typically as part of a bigger system.
What is a microcontroller?
At the heart of an embedded system there is a MICROCONTROLLER. This consists of a CPU, memory, input/output ports.
What are sensors?
may act as input devices and supply the system with data from the outside world. They turn a PHYSICAL signal into an electronic signal.
What is an actuator?
is a device that converts a control signal into MECHANICAL motion.
What is Firmware?
is the software permanently stored in a hardware device that allows it to operate.
What is the internet of things?
The INTERNET OF THINGS is a network of physical objects that use sensors, embedded systems and wireless technology to collect and exchange data with little human interaction.
