2. Make yourself aware of God’s nature and will, be attentive to what God has revealed (a parallel would be listening to a friend as they shared their hopes and dreams for the future).
3. Conclude by asking for what you need - rather than simply what you want. Keep in mind God’s will and make your requests align with God’s will (a parallel would be asking a friend for help with a problem you are dealing with).
